Founder & President

Kathy Troxell is co-founder and managing partner of Turning Point Financial. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her designations of “LUTCF” and “FSS” through American College.

She started her career more than 25 years ago working as a Vice President (Marketing) for a Trust company specializing in institutional products and qualified plans for independent advisors. Kathy enjoys creating easily understood financial planning solutions for people in all phases of their financial life. She works energetically and enthusiastically to serve others, earning the trust of retirees and pre-retirees for over 20 years with her ability to simplify complex financial concepts. She enjoys showing her clients how to invest properly to suit their values, ambitions and lifestyles — helping them achieve their desired retirement lifestyle and leave a legacy.

In addition to managing her practice full time, she is married and has 4 children ranging in age from 13 to 27 years old. She actively volunteers for several ministries connected to her church, and has been a supporter of medical and educational mission groups in Haiti, Africa and Jamaica.
